Skindiving sessions are our recommended path for real beginners, a beginner diver  would be considered someone who hasn’t have taken any freediving course before, someone who can float and move through water (without perfect swimming technique) someone who is comfortable in the water in general, but lacks the knowledge of diving and swimming underwater, equalizing the ears and holding their breath for a little longer.

The goal of this Skindiving courses/sessions is to be able to explore bodies of water (ocean, Cenotes, lakes) with ease and comfort, without pressure to go deeper but with confidence, relaxation and safety awareness that will make you confident underwater. This is the best practice before you enroll in an AIDA 1 or AIDA 2 Course.

 

Our Skindiving Course is perfect for ocean lovers whom are already skilled in skindiving or snorkeling, as well as water activity professionals like underwater photographers and tour guides, this course is designed to introduce you to the exhilarating sport of freediving.

Whether you are a water enthusiast, an underwater professional, or simply curious about the sport, this course will introduce you to the joys and possibilities of skindiving/fundiving.

 

This course offers a basic knowledge of Skindiving and introductory skills such as finning techniques, duck dives, basic safety procedures and basic ear equalization techniques.

2 People+ : $2,100 MXN per person

A deposit of $1,000 mxn is required to reserve your participation in the course and set the date.
(The deposit counts towards the final payment, you would only have to pay the rest of the course in the morning on the day of the course before starting).

Prerequisites:​
 

Be healthy 18 - 50 years old 

Be able to swim at least 200m

Be able to walk long distances and high elevations (2km)

Health Check

Be able to skindive comfortably around 5 meters underwater

Before going to the water:

​

• Deposit to book your spot on the course, the day of the course in the morning, please fulfill the remaining part of the payment in cash or transfer in order to continue our journey to the Cenote.

In person sessions:
 

1 Open Water session at CENOTE: Practice relaxation, equalization, duckdives, finning technique, shallow and comfortable dives.

• Snorkel 

• Fins * Please use short fins instead of long fins if you are not fully comfortable at equalizing your ears yet or if you are a beginner skin diver.

• Wetsuit (3/5mm recommended)

• Weightbelt (we can provide weights)

​About Booking, Deposits and Cancelation Fees

1. Reservation Form: Once you're ready to book, we'll send you a Reservation Form. Fill it with your details and send it back.

 

2. Deposit Payment: After receiving the Reservation Form, you'll get a deposit link, can be made through Wise Transfers (for international transactions) or Bank Transfer (within Mexico). Please complete the payment within 3 days to secure your spot.

 

3. Spot Confirmation: Your spot is 100% secured once we successfully receive the deposit.

 

4. Remaining Payment: The remaining payment is paid in cash (Mexican pesos) on the morning.
 

5. Cancellation Fees:

• 30 days or before the scheduled date: 30% of the total price of the booked activity may be refunded.

• 29 to 15 days before: 20% of the total price of the booked activity may be refunded,

• 14 days to 0 days before: No refund.

If there are fees associated with transferring a deposit back, these fees will be subtracted from the total refund amount*
 

6. *AIDA Freediving Courses:* Refunds are only applicable if the cancellation occurs at least 30 days before the start of the course.
 

• 30 days or before the scheduled date: 30% of the total price of the course may be refunded.

Weather related information:

Please note that we do not offer cancellations due to cloudy/rainy weather. However, if there is a hurricane warning or extremely heavy rain, we will, of course, reschedule or cancel the session as needed for safety. Additionally, while we plan to use a specific cenote location for your session, please be aware that sometimes last-minute changes may be necessary due to unforeseen circumstances.
